Vascular Health Center is seeking a Vascular Surgeon in Winter Haven, FL.
Educational Requirement:
Doctor of Medicine (or equivalence).
Professional Experience:
3 years (Required).
Professional Certification:
Board Eligible/Certified Vascular Surgeon.
Job Description:
- Evaluate patients’ histories and schedule consultations prior to surgeries.
- Liaise with other physicians and perform relevant tests before the surgery.
- Treat conditions related to the veins, arteries, and other blood vessels.
- Perform surgeries to repair veins and arteries and to treat other necessary vascular procedures.
- Consult with physicians and refer patients to other specialists (if required).
- Determine all risks associated with the surgery and clearly outline them for patients.
- Address all patients' concerns and answer their questions as accurately as possible.
- Keep abreast of advancements in vascular surgery as well as the broader medical field.
- Schedule follow-ups to monitor patients’ well-being and to advise them on suitable aftercare measures and medication they might require.
- Build relationships with patients and provide support to their families wherever possible.
- Perform the entire spectrum of open and endovascular procedures in a hospital hybrid room or our own outpatient angiography suite staffed by ICU-level nurses and a full-time radiology technologist, two venous procedure rooms, and Vascular ultrasound lab with 2 Registered Vascular Technologists among others.
- See patients at the Practice's Ambulatory Surgery Center.
